Cersaie 2026: DEEPLY REAL—Two ways of being real

From 21 to 25 September 2026, Bologna once again becomes an international reference point for the world of ceramics, architecture and design with the 43rd edition of CERSAIE, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings.
Five days dedicated to innovation, design culture and the latest trends in interior and outdoor design, bringing together companies, architects, designers and professionals from all over the world to discover new materials, surfaces and perspectives on contemporary living.
In a landscape increasingly shaped by constructed imagery and digital languages, Coem and Fioranese choose Cersaie 2026 as an opportunity to bring the focus back to what is authentic: materials, spaces, gestures and experiences. This reflection gives rise to “Deeply Real”, a shared concept that expresses two different ways of interpreting reality and translating it into ceramic design.

Coem: Framing Nature

For Coem, the starting point is nature, understood not simply as an aesthetic to reproduce, but as a design method and a source of knowledge.
“Deeply Real. Framing Nature.” expresses an approach based on observation, contemplation and interpretation: a conscious gaze that seeks depth, permanence and inspiration in natural materials. Ceramics originate from the earth, are transformed through technology and return to interact with the spaces we inhabit. Design thus becomes an exercise in selection and interpretation: as the concept of the frame suggests, designing also means choosing where to direct our gaze, isolating forms, details and inspirations from the complexity of nature and transforming them into ceramic material.

Fioranese: Looks Better Lived

Fioranese, on the other hand, interprets reality through experience.
“Deeply Real. Looks Better Lived.” tells the story of spaces that gain meaning when they are lived in, and of surfaces designed to accompany constantly evolving lifestyles.
The brand’s research engages with the contemporary world, exploring influences from different spheres and transforming them into new creative connections. The home is therefore not a perfect, static image, but an authentic space shaped by gestures, relationships, everyday moments and even small imperfections. A more spontaneous and dynamic vision of living, in which design becomes part of the experience.

One space, two ways of interpreting reality

At Cersaie 2026, “Deeply Real” will take shape through an experience designed to express the two identities of Coem and Fioranese and their different ways of interpreting the relationship between material, design and space.
Two distinct yet complementary visions: Coem observes reality through nature and its materials, while Fioranese interprets it through experience and the way spaces are lived in. Cersaie will be the opportunity to discover how these two approaches are translated into the new collections and into the stories of the two brands.
