“Less is Home”: The Essence of Living

Design, Harmony, and Well-being at Fuorisalone 2025

The “Less is Home” project expresses a vision of essential living, where every space is designed to reflect purity and authenticity. Simplicity of form and the absence of superfluous elements create open and welcoming environments that blend functionality with elegance in perfect harmony.
Coem and Fioranese, leaders in porcelain stoneware production, will take center stage at Fuorisalone 2025 with a special installation-event that will transform Via Goito 7 into an immersive exploration of home living from 8 to 13 April. Designed by Alessandro Pasinelli Studio, the installation invites visitors to reflect on design as a key element in enhancing everyday life.
Inspired by the Fuorisalone 2025 theme ”Connected Worlds”, this event offers an opportunity to explore the intersection of design, culture, and the environment through innovative solutions. During the week, Milan will be transformed into a creative hub where immersive and interactive experiences demonstrate how design can promote balance and well-being, offering a glimpse into a more harmonious and interconnected future.

A New Vision of Home

“Less is Home” offers a vision of living where the quality of space is valued more than the quantity of objects. The installation features fluid, open environments where spatial limitations become an opportunity to highlight textures and materials, fostering a sense of serenity and well-being. Every detail is conceived to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, turning the home into a genuine, personal sanctuary.
As Alessandro Pasinelli explains:
“It’s not the number of objects, furnishings, or decorations that defines a home, but the quality of the space and the way it embraces the people who live in it. This principle highlights the importance of uncluttered environments, where every element serves a purpose and contributes to a sense of comfort, serenity, and belonging.”

Material Harmony and Sensory Design

The installation unfolds through a series of mini-sets that recreate domestic environments, offering a tactile and visual journey through a variety of surfaces and materials. Coem’s ceramics, inspired by natural stone, evoke elegance and refinement with a neutral color palette that enhances the innate beauty of the material. Fioranese complements this with refined, versatile surfaces that respond to the emotions and needs of contemporary living.

A Journey Through Design and Innovation

Less is Home is not just an exhibition of materials—it is an experience that explores the essence of materials and their power to shape space. Through the use of scaled-down environments, the installation creates settings designed around human needs, where aesthetics, functionality, and well-being come together in seamless harmony.

Living the Future

With Less is Home, Coem and Fioranese propose a new approach to living spaces—one that prioritises essentiality and authenticity. More than an installation, this project is a design manifesto that invites us to rediscover the value of simplicity and the expressive power of materials. It offers a sensory journey through design that enhances our relationship with the spaces we call home.
