The elegance of Flow and Cardoso in the Thai landscape

Two projects by Coem that blend nature with architecture and contemporary design

Amid lush gardens, sleek architectural geometries and timeless atmospheres, Thailand is the perfect backdrop to showcase ceramic materials. Here, where the balance between indoor and outdoor living is integral to the culture, materials act as narrative instruments able to express emotions and lifestyles. With their sophisticated textures, rooted in natural stone, the Coem collections slot elegantly into this picture, creating spaces of harmony and beauty.
Thailand is a land of extraordinary natural beauty and refined architectural culture, offering the ideal stage for Coem ceramic surfaces to express their design vocation. In an ongoing dialogue between landscape and material, two private residences embody a perfect harmony between nature and design, thanks to the use of the Flow and Cardoso collections: stone-effect porcelain tiles that offer a delicate, authentic interpretation of the geometries of contemporary living.

Roof House: a retreat in the tropical greenery

Roof House is a villa with a reserved, sophisticated character, conceived as an intimate and functional space for a family of four with a dog. Designed by IF Integrated Field studio, the project revolves around a central courtyard, from which rooms flooded with natural light open onto the surrounding green landscape, visible from every window. The hallmark feature of the architectural structure is the sloping roof and the smooth flow created between the living area and kitchen, designed to foster conviviality. For the flooring, the studio chose two Coem collections with a strong material identity: FLOW White and CARDOSO Corda, both in the Unpolished finish and the 60×120 cm size. The stone-effect porcelain tiles not only guarantee high technical performance, but also add aesthetic depth, with warm, enveloping textures perfectly in tune with the balance of the project. Coem ceramic surfaces thus become an integral part of an authentic, timeless architectural language.

Bangkok: urban elegance and material minimalism

In the heart of Bangkok’s B/W Residence complex, ACA Architects have designed a villa with a simple, modern style, where attention to detail combines with a light, airy visual approach. Coem’s FLOW collection, in Light Grey, with a honed finish and in the 60×120 cm size, was chosen to bring elegance and a consistent material look to the spaces. The surfaces are part of a project that carefully balances volumes, with solids and voids creating a harmonious architectural pace. With their sophisticated, natural texture, Coem ceramic tiles help create bright, profound settings that complement the designer décor, for contemporary interiors that combine a rigorous aesthetic with comfort and refined simplicity.

Ceramic material: bridging nature and innovation

These two projects highlight the extraordinary versatility of the Coem collections and their ability to adapt to different settings without compromising on style and function. Porcelain stoneware interprets an evolved, sustainable and durable approach to living spaces that is also ideal for places like Thailand, with a tropical climate. Conceived from the material and open to the world, Coem confirms its role as an ambassador of Italian craftsmanship and design, taking its distinctive mix of aesthetics, innovation, and design culture worldwide.
