Cersaie 2018: the essential guide

Who, what, how, where and when. Everything there is to know about the Bologna exhibition dedicated to the world of ceramics and bathroom furnishings

Cersaie, the international exhibition of ceramic, architecture and bathroom furnishings, returns to Bologna from 24 to 28 September; five intense days in which international companies gather alongside architects, planners and retailers to give a preview of the new trends for ceramic surfaces and all the latest trends in the world of bathroom furnishings.

New trends with a special focus on bathrooms

The range of products on show at Cersaie covers all the latest design trends for surfaces and finishes. There are 18 halls in which visitors have the chance to actually touch and feel the entire range of products: large ceramic slabs, tiles in every possible format but also designer showers, saunas, bath tubs, taps and sanitary fixtures, and much, much more. The trade show is a source of inspiration for anyone operating in the sector, for end customers, and naturally also bloggers, who in recent years have specialised in giving advice on interior design: by simply entering the word “cersaie” on Instagram, it is possible to remotely follow the salon’s own channel live!

The new Official App of Cersaie: The salon within a click’s reach

A pocket-sized version of the Exhibition thanks to the new specially developed App, to plan your visit or download on-site. The Official Cersaie App makes it easy to view the layout of the exhibition and the list of exhibitors, and to be updated on all the events. The app can be downloaded for both iPhone and Android under: www.cersaie.it/it/e_app.php

An unmissable exhibition dedicated to music: The Sound of Design

For several years, Cersaie has also included an exhibition dedicated to specific topics. After dealing with the upgrading of port areas and the topic of illumination and the cinema, this year’s exhibition – curated by architect Angelo dall’Aglio and Davide Vercelli – will address the topic of music. This show within a show will take place in the brand new hall 30 covering an area of 700 square metres, and will follow the concept of ‘music by setting’, where iconic images depicting various periods will decorate different home and urban settings. “The years ranging from 1976 to 1983 represent one of the most fertile periods in terms of music and dress style”, says Angelo dall’Aglio, “in which very different styles lived side by side, making those years a never-ending source of inspiration”.

Dialogue between experts: Mario Botta and Guido Canali exchange ideas on the topic of “project design”

Two master architects exchange ideas at Cersaie: Mario Botta and Guido Canali, with presenter Fulvio Irace, will exchange ideas on the topic of architectural planning on Thursday, 27 September at 4:00 PM in the ‘Galleria dell’Architettura’, as part of the programme of cultural events entitled ‘Costruire, Abitare, Pensare’ [Building, Dwelling, Thinking], which has now reached its 10th edition and adds substances to the exhibition by hosting major architects and designers of international fame. This event is an absolute must for anyone passionate about architecture and the evolution of our cities.

Ceramiche Coem and Ceramica Fioranese take centre stage at Cersaie 2018

Also at this edition, the two brands and leaders in the sector of ceramics Made in Italy will be presenting new collections and two very special booth designs. Contemporary finishes inspired by tradition, nature and more. New graphic patterns to create cosy, stimulating spaces ready to form a backdrop to special moments in our lives. The constant search for innovation and passion for design as a source of inspiration for new finishes, will make also this year’s edition of Cersaie special. Come and see all these innovations for yourself at Hall 18, booth A30 B29 / A22 B21: you will be dazzled. The style and taste of the two brands will conquer you yet again, for their modernness, the choice of materials and the originality of the layouts.
